Carlyn (owner of Dallas Glass Art) found solace through this process as she sought for comfort after the loss of a loved one. She and the team of professional artists are passionate about incorporating the magical and spiritual qualities of glass to help provide comfort to those who have lost the physical presence of a loved one.
Glass is made from the earth (sand) and it is one of the few materials that hold light. Glass is between a liquid and a crystal, thus it has its own state of matter, the glassy state. The ashes within the glass are suspended in the crystal-like and colored illuminated material which is weighted and gives presence when held in our hands. The glass holds the ashes and the essence of your loved one’s spirit swirled within its colors.

Remember and celebrate the life of your loved one by helping create your custom glass piece.
Here at Dallas Glass Art, we celebrate many things such as creativity, art, spirit, and life. Unlike many websites and studios, our Celebration of Life Package gives you the option of participating in the glassblowing process.
The Process
- First, choose the package that works best for you and place your appointment with our friendly staff.
- Next, bring in the ashes that you would like to include in your orb, heart, or touchstones.
- Then, work with our trained instructor one on one to create your memorable piece. You will apply the colors of your choice and the cremations you have brought with the assistance of your instructor.
- After helping shape the piece and watching our process, take the remaining ashes back home with you.
- Your celebration glass piece will be at a safe temperature and ready for pick up 5 days after your appointment.

The process of creating the piece is done with the most respect, love, and care. Each piece is professionally created and labeled from beginning to end.

The Process
- Either personally deliver or send us your loved one’s ashes. Only one teaspoon is needed per piece and any unused ashes will be kept and given back to you. If sent, we will confirm receipt immediately.
- Choose the shape that you desire- sphere, heart, oval, or touchstones.
- Choose 1 or 2 colors
- You may choose to also add in gold and silver leaf for an additional cost.
- Our goal is to create your glass within 1-2 weeks of the order.
- We will notify you when the piece is ready for pick up or delivery.
